Is Information Technology Technician the career for me?

The demand for skilled individuals capable of entering the swiftly growing information Technology sector is currently out-pacing supply in our region. This program will prepare graduates to enter the Information Technology industry in several different types of positions. 
You’ll need an interest in computer technology and a desire to work in the customer service 
sector of the Information Technology industry. You’ll need great people skills, a strong work ethic and a willingness to keep learning throughout your career.


How much do IT Technicians make?

A typical full-time annual salary for this occupation is in the region of $46,780 – $55,550.  Once established in their career, IT Technicians could make up to $120,000+.

 What will I learn?

Students will earn the industry association standardized certificates known as IC3-GS4 (Introduction to Technology—Global Standard) and Comp TIA A+ (Computer & Technology Industry Association A+) along with MTA (Microsoft IT Academy) certification. 

While providing certification as digitally aware individuals and computer technicians, along with foundational courses for web 
development, this program will also set students on the pathway to additional IT training and careers including System Technician, System Administrator, Web and Windows Developer and Server Administrator.
